New Email Quarantine System for Acadia Email
Dear Acadia Users,
On Wednesday March 5, 2025 at March 05, 4:00pm AST Technology Services is planning to change the email quarantine system that manages email flagged as spam, phishing, or potentially harmful. The quarantine system will be managed through Microsoft’s Defender program and no longer by Fortimail.
The notification from Microsoft Defender will allow you to review and take action on your quarantined emails such as releasing or deleting the email that has been flagged. This will be similar to what you experienced with the former Fortimail system.
How to check and manage your quarantined emails:

It is advisable to update your browser bookmarks in relation to email quarantine.

There is a widespread phishing email being sent to members of the campus community.
The email is from an Acadia account, purportedly from the Glenys Gibson, and contains an employment offer (VIRTUAL PERSONAL ASSITANT JOB (REMOTE).
There is no yellow external caution banner, as it is the result of a compromised account.
